I love going here for dim sum. The food is delicious and there are many selections to choose from. The restaurant is located in the Marriott Hotel. There is also a boba tea cafe in the lobby of the hotel.

Yes this place is on a the pricer end but everything tastes really good. Ofc this won't be the spot to come daily but on special occasions, sure why not. The dim sum dishes here are double the price of other dim sum spots in SGV. We spent $100, we wanted to try everything. I really enjoyed the fried Chinese donut stuffed w/ shrimp paste (~$17) . The durian pastry was delicious and different. The milk tart was good but I prefer the traditional egg tart. I enjoyed the chicken feet and shrimp rice rolls. Overall great dim sum just pricey but worth a try. Service was great as well. Parking was free for 3 hrs with validation. The atmosphere is nice and clean, more quiet that traditional dim sum spots but I like that.

My aunt called me up to have dim sum one weekend and she picked this place inside the Marriott hotel. At first, I was confused as to where it was since I saw no sign outside. But eventually came to the conclusion that it could have been inside this hotel. And for that reason, it has a nicer ambiance from neighboring dim sum joints. I believe it also opened up quite recently with another location in Arcadia The food is good and you are able to order the latest of dim sum trends, like the black steamed lava buns with gold foil. The best thing we ordered here was the baked bbq pork bun which had a unique texture. The only thing I feel like it's missing is the usual milk tea you'd expect at a Cantonese restaurant. I think their selection was limited to more traditional options like pu-er tea. Parking was relatively easy as the restaurant validates your parking ticket.

We are the first time Father's Day evening 2024. It was special menu. We weren't too hungry having eaten out for lunch. So for the kids we ordered a large bowl of shrimp and pork fried rice. It was delicious. The boys and we all loved it. We had a couple drinks too. Shapiro beer and a glass of wine. We came back last night but the dinner menu scares us off. We did have pork steamed buns. It's more like a pork wonton. Really. 4 small. But good. We had the rice again fur a light dinner. Most menu items are too strange for our tastes or too expensive on our budget. I want to try dim sum at lunch when the items look reasonably priced. I'm concerned they won't stay in business due to the high costs and you can't order traditional Chinese dishes here. I hope they find a way to be successful. I think they need more customers to make a go of it. But the food we had is so fresh and was delicious. High quality. Beautiful restaurant. Good staff. I'm editing to add that I suggest happy hour drink and dim sum specials from 4 to 6 pm. I think this would attract eager customers. I would love that. It's a beautiful place to hang out

It is a fancy dim sum restaurant. This restaurant is located inside a newly build hotel by the 10 freeway in Monterey Park. Location is very convenient. Underground parking garage is available. Servers are friendly and services were prompt. They often refill our empty tea pot with hot water. We ordered the food by marking what we want to order on a paper menu. This is not a traditional dim sum restaurant where you will see a dim sum cart. Dim sum variety is good, and they all tasted decent. They are now offering VIP card if we spend more then $100. The VIP card allows us to get 10% off dining at this restaurant in the same location. The only reason I took a star away is because it is more on the pricy side, and dim sum is only decent.

I was staying at the Courtyard Marriott and saw ads for Chef Tony's Dim Sum restaurant in the hotel's elevator. Before I checked out of the hotel, I decided to give the place a try for lunch. I arrived at Chef Tony around 10:30am, which was when it opened. I was one of 2 parties that were at the restaurant so I had no problem with getting a table. The restaurant was pretty; one of the more high-end looking dim sum restaurants I've seen in recent years. Service was great. Staff members were nice and smiling (honestly not the type of warmth I receive at an Asian restaurant). I didn't have a dedicated server, but it was easy to flag someone down when I needed support. Food came out very fast. I ordered a few thing off the menu including the eggplant with shrimp paste, mushroom dumplings, squid ink shrimp dumplings, shrimp and scallop dumplings with roe, and salted egg yolk buns. In general I enjoyed the dim sum but some stood out more than others: Eggplant with shrimp paste - Enjoyed these and ate the entire thing in a sitting. The egg plant were fried and crispy. Eat with caution as these come out piping hot, which I couldn't tell. I definitely burned my mouth/tongue. The sauce it comes with was bland, so I dabbed hot mustard and chili sauce on these to kick up the flavor. Squid ink dumplings - Fine. The squid ink taste was more subtle than prominent. The wrapper fell apart easily, but I think it was because the wrapper was thinner compared to the other dumplings I got. I don't think that the squid ink really enhanced the dumplings, so I would skip this for next time. Shrimp and Scallop dumplings with roe - Standard dumpling but a good, flavorful and robust one. Mushroom dumplings - Appreciated how "meaty" these dumplings were. They were stuffed and plump. The filling was bland though. Soy sauce and chili sauces for the win. Salted egg yolk buns - Delicious! Ooey gooey warm yolk and not overly salty. The sweetness of the bun was a nice balance.
